A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Better preparation. Clear answers.

Why do WhatsApp Status videos look blurry?

WhatsApp compresses status videos to reduce their size. High-motion scenes, low-light noise and repeated downloads can make detail loss more visible. Starting with your original camera file gives the encoder more detail to work with.

Can StatusTune stop WhatsApp from compressing my video?

No. StatusTune creates a compatible, carefully resized MP4 before you upload it. WhatsApp controls its final compression, so lossless status uploads and improved posted quality are not guaranteed.

What does the video optimizer change?

You can trim, split into 30- or 60-second clips, choose original or portrait framing, and export H.264 MP4 with optional AAC audio. Balanced targets up to 720p; More detail targets up to 1080p. Small originals are not enlarged.

Are my videos uploaded or stored?

Your selected video is processed locally in your browser. StatusTune does not upload or store your video. The hosting provider handles normal website requests. Read our privacy information.

How do I post the exported clips?

Save each MP4, open WhatsApp’s Updates tab and add the clips to your status in order. Clip limits depend on your WhatsApp version. Our WhatsApp Status video guide walks you through the steps.

A GOOD START MATTERS

From export to status.

  1. Use the original camera video whenever possible. For predictable colors, use an SDR source; HDR can look different after conversion.
  2. Start with Balanced. Keep original framing to avoid cropping your moment.
  3. Save each MP4. On iPhone, you may need to save the downloaded file to Photos from the Files app.
  4. Open WhatsApp → Updates → Add status. Select the exported clips in order. Available clip lengths can vary by app version.
  5. Preview your posted status. WhatsApp controls its final compression; no web tool can promise to bypass it.

Your video is processed in your browser. Keep this tab open while exporting. Long videos can take a few minutes.
